Massage is the practice of giving and receiving touch, of communicating warmth, comfort, pleasure and trust through the hands. It invites the body to let go of tension and encourages deep relaxation.
There are many benefits to massage; it relieves muscular tightness and stiffness, increases blood circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, promotes rapid removal of toxins, deepens breathing and reduces stress and anxiety.
Carried out on a massage couch using a blend of essential oils and is similar to Swedish massage. This treatment is deeply relaxing and nurturing.
Thai Yoga Massage
Carried out on the floor with the client fully clothed. Thai Yoga Massage involves muscular compression and acupressure along the body’s energy lines or meridians to release energy blockages allowing the body to naturally heal. I may use my hands, feet and elbows and incorporate gentle yoga stretches depending on your needs.
